the thing called ambigram

i wonder how many of you have read angels and demons by Dan Brown. one of the most striking things about the book is the ambigram symbol he has used. you must be wondering what an ambigram is . its something you can read both straight and upside down the same way. you must be wondering how the heck its possible. well its quite possible. and once the thing fascinates you its gonna keep a good part of your imagination busy.
in the book the ambigrams used are those of the words "illuminati" , "air", "water", "fire", "earth". and the work is simply amazing. if you wanna have a look at it you can click here http://www.danbrown.com.

experts say that any word can be made into ambigram. but this fact has been argued time and again with experst always proving and disproving each other.
if you search google for the words you will come across 9900 links. the major proponents of ambigrams currently are scottkim, kevin pease and opf course dan brown. but my personal favourite is punya misra. just check out this link and you will know why.http://punya.educ.msu.edu/PunyaWeb/ambigrams/options.asp. and just check out the ambigram for vision , visualization...those are one of the coolest ones.

well i was so fascinated withe the whole ambigram story that i made an ambigram for the college magazine. the name of the magazine is "melange" and had a tough time making out the name when i wrote it down.
i ll be posting it my next post...
well if people want to make their own ambigrams please go to ambigram.matic. its an online generator for ambigrams.but according to me the stuff sucks and you ll be dissappointed withe the results.
thats all for now folks .
cya.
